Kondalilla Falls, located in Queenslands Kondalilla National Park, originally inherited its name from an Aboriginal word meaning "rushing waters", which is the best description of this waterfall during the summer wet season.
Enter the cool, wet eucalypt forest and start your walk to Picnic Creek. The actual circuit starts after you cross the creek. Take the right-hand fork to a lookout over Obi Obi Valley. As the track winds down through open forest to the top of the falls, you can see the waterfall. Continue onto Skene Creek and the lush green rainforest at the bottom of the falls.
Here you will see the palms and tree ferns, cross dry gullies and walk alongside Kondalilla Falls. From the base of the falls, take a short detour down the sidetrack and rock-hop to a scenic point where you can see the cascading falls.
