Located in Girringun National Park, Blencoe Falls tumbles into a rocky pool, before cascading to the hoop pine-studded valley below. Eventually, the water flows into the Herbert River, which winds through a gorge framed by towering cliffs more than 100 metres high.

Take the 5 kilometre Jabali walk through open eucalypt forest to Blencoe Falls lookout. Look for emus or the elegant whiptail wallaby, and listen for kookaburras or sulphur-crested cockatoos. Experienced bushwalkers can enjoy a four to six day hike through the Herbert River Gorge, part of the Wet Tropics Great Walk.
