Emu Creek is one of the main tributaries of the Brisbane River. At the camping area, the creek widens and deepens to form an excellent waterhole for swimming and canoeing.

Facilities include walking tracks, swimming hole, caravan facilities, barbecue, water, toilets, and wheelchair access.

Tall-forested gums and ironbarks shade the camping area and are a haven for possums and an abundance of birds. Wallabies and the occasional koala may also be found in the area.
