Tryfan

Tryfan is a stunning Mountain in the Ogwen Valley, rising 3,020 feet from the side of Llyn Ogwen and stretching across to the Glyders. Due to the rewarding views and technical difficulty the mountain was once voted the favourite UK Mountain amongst professional mountaineers.

The famous north ridge rises from the valley to the twin pillars of Adam and Eve and this is our chosen route. Tradition says that upon first climbing Tryfan, you must jump from one pillar to the other. This is no easy task as the eastern cliffs plunge directly to the side of these famous standing rocks. The Southern ridge offers a slightly easier access, rising from the saddle between the Glyders and Tryfan's Summit.
