Kenilworth Guest House was built in 1896 and is located in the Lake District town of Windermere, offering warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation. The house retains many original Victorian features, but under our ownership has been fully refurbished and redecorated.

Each room comes with en-suite facilities, (shower, not bath), flat screen digital colour tv, towels, refreshment tray, hairdryer, alarm clock and wineglasses. The single room also has its own DVD player.

Kenilworth is situated on Holly Road, which is just two minutes' walk to the local shops, cafes and restaurants. Our hearty breakfasts include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs deliverd from the local farm. Lighter or vegetarian alternatives are available. We have some off-road parking and there is free parking on Holly Road. For everyone's safety and comfort we are completely non-smoking.

Opening Times: Open all year except Christmas. Arrivals mid-day onwards, latest check-in 9pm.
Local Area: We are 8-9 minutes walk from the train station and only 2 minutes' walk to the local shops and restaurants. The lake is approx 20-30 minutes walk or a short car/taxi/bus ride away. Orrest Head is the local view point from where you can see virtually the whole of Windwermere lake and even the sea. There is a good local bus service (we have timetables) and mini-bus tours can be arranged to collect you from the guest house to enjoy a guided tour of the area.
Please Note: We ask for credit or debit card details to secure a booking. We do not take any payment in advance- if someone didn't arrive or cancelled and we couldn't relet the room, we would take the firs nights' payment. There is a 2% surcharge for credit card payments - no charge for cash or debit card payments.
