The Bowes River Mouth is a scenic beach favoured among surfers. The sandstone escarpment following the river is rich in Indigenous culture. Willigully Caves feature rock art created by the Nanda people to describe and communicate their traditions.

On leaving Horrocks, turn right at approximately 5 kilometres and follow the track along the Bowes River to the river mouth and the beach. Swans and Pelicans can often be seen swimming on the tranquil waters of the Bowes River before it meets the ocean. The Bowes offers good fishing all year round and catches could include Mulloway, Taylor, Snapper, Cod and Mackerel. Surfers have long recognised Bowes River mouth as the best surfing north of Perth. A 4-wheel drive is not necessary for this trip.
