Yaxley Estate Vineyard is a vineyard run on organic principles, at Copping, on the way to the Tasman Peninsula.
The vineyard is just a 45 - 50 minute drive from Hobart, where they grow pinot noir, pinot gris and in some years chardonnay and sauvignon blanc varieties. The wines are crafted at Hood Wines by winemakers Alain Rousseau and Nick Glaetzer overseen by the acclaimed eye of Andrew Hood. The vineyard was established in 1992 and saw its first vintages produced in the late 1990s.
