Maria Island Ferry & Eco Cruises offers flexible services to cater for your requirements, with scheduled ferry times and private cruise charters.

The fully enclosed, twin hull, stable ferry provides a regular and reliable return service from Triabunna on the east coast of Tasmania to Darlington on Maria Island on Mercury Passage. Travel time approx 40 mins each way. Also offered as a half day escape that explores the coastal waters and includes a short walking tour of the Island.

Visit the World Heritage convict Probation Station, the spectacular Painted Cliffs; ancient seabed Fossil Cliffs; climb Mt Bishop & Clerk & Mt Maria; escape to the deserted beaches, fabulous bush walks, snorkelling and much more. Meet the locals (the wildlife includes Wombats, Cape Barren Geese, Kangaroos, Pademelons, birds etc

Special Events: Private charters are available for travel to Maria Island on your preferred dates. This is ideal for schools or clubs who may have large numbers or specific travel dates. Eco cruises also available for charters by arrangement.
Special Features: We now are happy to introduce MARIA ISLAND BIKE HIRE for those who would like to discover Maria Island by bike. This is proving to be a popular way to see more of the Island - we are happy to take your bookings when you book your seats. Come with us to this beautiful, serene and peaceful place. Stay the day, overnight or for as long as you like. All provisions need to be taken with you as there are no shops on Maria Island. Tanked drinking water is available in 4 locations - all 4 camping areas including Darlington settlement.

May - September: Departure from Triabunna - 10.30am and 3pm Departure from Darlington - 11.30am and 4pm 1/2 day cruises available by arrangement Extra departure times on demand. October - April: Departure from Triabunna - 9.30am and 4pm Departure from Darlington - 10.30am and 5pm 1/2 day cruises available by arrangement Extra departure times on demand. We recommend booking your seat to avoid disappointment.
