The oaks and other old European trees that give this vineyard its name also provide shelter and warmth, ideal conditions for fuller reds and fine white wines.
There are sales and tastings of wines made from pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and riesling grapes. You can tour the 6 hectare vineyard established in 1983 by making arrangements ahead of time.
The Rowella district and Holm Oak are on the Tasmanian Wine Route and near the spectacular Batman Bridge, that allows you to make a round trip from Launceston on both banks of the Tamar River.
