The Princess Theatre

Opened in 1911, The Princess Theatre in Launceston hosts a range of national, international and local performances and events throughout the year.

In 1939 extensive renovations took place which saw much of the interior decorated in art deco style, however the beautiful auditorium remains in its original 1911 design.

Over the years a diverse range of performances have been staged at The Princess Theatre including The Rocky Horror Show, the Australian Ballet, the Sydney Dance Company, The Corrs, The Delltones, The Seekers, and many more.
