Situated within the grounds of the Cradle Mountain Chateau, the gallery exhibits the work of well-known photographers who specialise in the field of nature and landscape photography.

The Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery also hosts the Tasmanian Tiger Exhibition. This joint initiative between the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and the Wilderness Gallery, tells the fascinating story of the Tasmanian tiger and explores how changing lifestyles and attitudes to conservation have altered the ways we view our natural and cultural heritage.
