Smibert Studio Gallery in Northern Tasmania was established in 1984 by artists Tony Smibert and Carmel Burns.
Since then it has opened its doors and collections of art works to visitors from around the world. From here paintings and exhibitions travel around Australia and overseas.

- Tony Smibert's art includes watercolours inspired by The Golden Age of English Watercolour' (c. 1750 - 1850) and others reflecting the minimalism of Japanese Zen. In Europe, he exhibits contemporary abstracts known for their strength and simplicity. His work also includes: works on canvas, high-fashion Japanese kimonos, limited edition prints, documentary production and various projects with leading art institutions.
