Operating since 1997, Fitzroy Crossing Visitors Centre is located within a multi-purpose building housing a public library, 2 Aboriginal art galleries, and an accommodation/tour booking service.

A small but dedicated staff of 3 ensure that this facility is open 6 days a week during the dry season (April - September inclusive) with a reduction to 5 days during the Wet season (October - March), when a majority of the roads to and around Fitzroy Crossing become impassable.

The building also acts as the Council's Office, providing ratepayers with all municipal services and is a central point of contact for Council services in Fitzroy Crossing.
