Heathcote is a small rural township nesteld amidst box ironbark forests, with a strong historical background dating from the 1850's. Heathcote has many physical and social attributes - the climate, the nearby peaceful bush environment and fine wines.

The heritage buildings of fine Victorian architecture, spectacular views, antiques and crafts, galleries, bushwalking, National & State Parks are all within easy reach.

The Visitor Centre provides a friendly atmosphere, bright surroundings with a comprehensive display of surrounding Parks. The Centre has local produce, maps, crafts and gifts available for purchase.

Heathcote, although a relatively new wine region, is developing a reputation for producing some of the finest wines in Australia. Its unique cambrian soils produce internationally known fine wines, including Shiraz, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
