Allansford Cheese World

Cheese world is situated at Allansford on the Great Ocean Road 45 minutes from the 12 apostles and 15 minutes from the coastal city of Warrnambool. Offering tasting and sales of cheese manufactured right across the road at the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory where award winning cheddar cheeses have been produced since 1888. A tasty variety of locally produced gourmet products are offered to visitors who stop here on their way along the Great Ocean Road. These include local wines,chocolates,jams,honey,biscuits,and a variety of cheeses.

Try a famous milkshake or cappuccino served with country style baked scones with jam and fresh farm cream. Cheese platters and ploughman's lunches are a specialty from the licensed café. Educational information on the local dairy industry both past and present is offered through a modern cheese making video filmed in our factory and a walk back in time through our local history Museum. The museum houses artifacts, photos and personal items belonging to early local dairy farming families.
