The Club Hotel in Ferntree Gully has a child-friendly bistro with a small play area for the kids. The menu is somewhat limited, but has several items of interest. Unfortunately, not having visited this establishment previously, I played it safe by ordering a chicken parmagiana ($20, slightly higher than average pub bistro price) an Australian standard so simple that even the poorest are usually passable (or so I thought) ...
