Phillip Island is also well known for the amazing Seal Rocks, which is home for a colony of up to 16,000 fur seals.
Located close to The Nobbies rock formation; it's a great spot to watch the seals sun themselves on the rocks, feed their young, wrestle on the beach or waddle into the cool waters.
You can also watch the seals via state of the art cameras, twisting and rolling in the waters, at The Nobbies Centre.
One of Australia's largest fur seal colonies, Seal Rocks' population peaks during the breeding season from October to December.
Tour operators such as Wildlife Coast Cruises offer trips out to the rocks, allowing you to get a closer view of these incredible creatures.
