Cuddle a koala at Jirrahlinga Wildlife Sanctuary. A haven for sick and injured wildlife, the sanctuary is well known for its rescue of native animals especially during the Ash Wednesday bush fires in 1983.
People are also very important at Jirrahlinga. The staff believe that animals have an amazing ability to connect with people who are socially disadvantaged, disabled or elderly. In a safe and supportive environment visitors have animal contact they would not have in their day to day lives.
The Sanctuary also offers quality pet boarding facilities for all your pets form dogs to lizards. They invite school and social groups and provide friendly speakers who can bring their knowledge and maybe even an animal to visit schools and care facilities.
