Local Area: Mt Victoria is located 2hrs drive west of Sydney and 15 mins north of Katoomba. Set in the world heritage park, Sotherton is directly opposite Sunset Rock and has breathtaking views down the Kanimbla Valley to the Southern Highlands to be enjoyed in front of a log combustion fire. Sotherton Cottage Blue Mountains with DVD/TV, family size washing machine, electric blankets and heating in each bedroom is a short walk to local cafes, restaurants and historical railway. Mid week we stay there for far less than this quality hideaway is worth. There's only 3 of us, but if you filled it with 4 couples they'd all have their own room and would end up paying next to nothing.

Too much pressure in Sydney and needed to escape to the Mountains.
Lit an open fire and sat back an enjoyed the views.
