An unfortunate experience. The rooms have an overpowering smell of stale cigarette / cigar smoke. Paint and dust from the ceiling fell continuosly onto the beds. This pub had big warm open coal fires and great hospitality. Fantastic central location for a gathering of family and friends close to the junction of two main roads. Beds warm, fresh and clean and comfortable (if you notice such things after a big night!) They'll even bring the piano down if you need a sing-song ... Read More
