Known as the Garden Suburb, Lorn is separated from the main town of Maitland by the Hunter River and high levee banks.

The Lorn Heritage Walk displays the unique character of Lorn as a collection of relatively intact late Victorian, Federation and Bungalow houses existing in a setting largely of the same period.

The Heritage Walk has 34 points of interest along the way. It is suggested that the walk begin at the Belmore Bridge at the entry to Lorn, however the walk may be commenced at any point along its route.

The walk should take approximately 2 hours to complete and there are places where you can stop and have a browse or a cup of coffee.
