This 2 kilometre walk is part of the Binna Burra section of Lamington National Park and includes the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world.
The circuit uses the first part of the Ship's Stern track and descends through rainforest and open forest before emerging suddenly at Bellbird Lookout. This lookout and most of the track is on Binna Burra Lodge land and is not part of the national park. It is a natural formation and has no handrails and is above a very high, steep cliff. Excellent view of Ships Stern, Turtle Rock, Egg Rock and Numinbah Valley are well worth the effort. This is a brilliant opportunity to view what millions of years of erosion, landslides and weathering have created. These continuing geological processes will continue to shape what you see before you.
