King Cottage, built in the early 1880's, was occupied by 4 generations of the King family. King Cottage became a local history museum in 1968. It houses a valuable collection of pioneer material of the area.

The cottage was erected by Henry King, a brickmaker by trade, with the help of 4 of his sons. The bricks were made on site from clay dug on the property and laid in the pattern known as Flemish Bond.

The museum features domestic artifacts, historic photographs, outdoor equipment, musical instruments, water pump, changing displays and recently opened is a display of military uniforms and memorabilia dating back to the 1800's.
