A brief sojorn down leafy Bayswater Rd in Sydney's Kings Cross will soon bring you to No. 24, an historic 4 storey Victorian terrace house and home to countless legends, curiosities, and varied debauchery over the last century. In the 1940's the grand old building was an extravagant whore-house, in the 80's an infamous artist's squat, and today it stands transformed as Sydney's most unique bar and nightclub experience - that preferred palace of perennial partying, The World Bar.
Our maze of rooms, booths, stairwells and hidden areas is open for exploration 7 days and nights a week, accented by an expansive outdoor terrace garden. A wide range of clientele enjoy an eclectic mash of entertainment - local indie bands ply their noisy craft in Parisian-inspired nooks; international DJs push cutting-edge club sounds in a NY-style underground nightclub; young artists exhibit their work in an upstairs gallery room that later becomes a rave-cave.
