Opposite the Victorian Arts Centre, the Queen Victoria Gardens is typified by flowering garden beds and manicured lawns.

One of several contemporary and classical sculptures in the gardens is a memorial statue of Queen Victoria.

Another feature of the gardens is the large floral clock on St Kilda Road. Made with almost 7,000 flowers, the mechanism was presented to Melbourne by Swiss watchmakers in 1966.
