Secluded and private, Trade Winds Country Cottages offer the ultimate in luxury Norfolk Island accommodation. These 1, 2 cottages & the 3-bedroom house each have king sized bedrooms (king bedding is standard or king singles if preferred), ensuite to each bedroom, walk in robe, full kitchen with granite benching cook top and full gas oven, dishwasher, and microwave, satellite LCD TV/DVD, Dvd library, laundry and wheelchair access/ramps. Equiped as a home away from home down to hair dryer, picnic basket even a coffee grinder, fabulous for breakfast on the wide verandahs (BBQ inc).

Things to do: A cot and high chair is provided free along with a toy box for very young children. Badminton, cricket, bocce games outdoor and indoor board games available. Cottages each have a fully equipped kitchen, multi channel satellite LCD TV, video/DVD (a selection of quality movie DVDs are available for children and adults). Arrangements can be made for island activities:- horse riding (silky Oaks stables), tennis and squash, archery and shooting (pistol through to shotgun, diving (Bounty Divers) or snorkelling in Slaughter Bay (hire equipment available from Land and Sea), bushwalking, or what about a Progressive dinner, Night as a convict, or just a pack of fish and chips with a bottle of wine as the sun sets at Puppys Point. Captain Cook monument has a fabulous picnic area and BBQs.
History: The island abounds with historical activities from museums, to historical plays to bus tours, such as the Working Settlement tour or Cullas horse drawn coach tour to describe events and places of interest. Three different tour companies provide guided bus tours both daytime and evenings with some including meals, for example spend a night as a convict where diners are privided a convict costume and treated to fun and frivolities over a roast dinner. Exploring the historical World Heritage Listed KAHVA area provides a view of life in the early years with some of the best preserved buildings against the backdrop of our fantastic golf course and swimming beaches. Regular scheduled arrival of our transport ship provides an amazing look at how most materials from crates to cars arrive.
