All I can say is a big thank you to John & Sue for providing us with such a spacious, clean, and comfortable cottage to spend part of our Honeymoon in. We are a senior couple and found the ease of access etc and such to the cottage and in the cottage so refreshing, no stairs to climb and a large comfortable kitchen / living area with everything so accessible ... Spent a wonderful weekend at Homelea accommodation. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and contained all the homely extras i.e. sewing kits. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and even gave a tour of the renovations that the hotel is undergoing (they looked great) ... Read More

Getting ThereSt Helens is located approximately 2 hours by car from Launceston and 3 hours from Hobart. The trip from Launceston can be made via Scottsdale, with scenic views and winding roads as you approach St Helens and the East Coast. It is approximately 3 hours drive from Launceston to St Helens via Scottsdale or 2 hours via Avoca. The trip from Hobart via the Heritage Highway /Avoca is 3 Hours or via the East Coast Road which travels through Swansea, it is 3 1/2 Hours. Please be aware when travelling at Sunset or late at night that we have a lot of Wildlife on the Roads which you can sometimes run over, This cannot be helped sometimes but slowing down during the evening can help.
