What a place, like a homw away from home

I stayed here on my own and had such a good time. Its such a chilled out relaxing place and feels like a home away from home. The best hostel I EVER stayed in and would highly recommend it. All the staff so nice, regular buses in and out of town and less than a 15 min walk if you want to walk ... Read More (Date of experience: Feb, 2010 )

I was not that impressed by JJ's Backpackers. The only impressive feature is the low rate, and that brings to mind the saying "You get what you pay for." Barren rooms, some loud houseguests, and a barely-a-kitchen kitchen ... Read More

I stayed at JJ's a few months ago and found it was a nice relaxed place to stay... central to pretty much everything in Cairns. Im not sure what the other reviewer was on about. That's everything I would normally expect from a backpacker hostel ... Read More

Getting ThereAIRPORT - Call from the free phones in the airport terminal (look for JJ's Backpackers on the accommodation board for the number) after collecting your luggage and you will get a FREE pick up. Available 7.00am-9.30pm. Please contact the hostel directly if arriving outside of these hours to obtain late key collection details. BUS - Our driver will meet all buses (7.00am-9.30pm) from ther station to bring you back to the hostel. TRAIN - Please call free phone 1800 666 336 upon arrival for your FREE pick up. CAR - Turn into Charles Street from Sheridan Street and look for the orange building. We have FREE off street parking.
