The Retreat at Stirling

Perfect perfect perfect!!
My partner and I loved our escape. The Retreat was spotless, and welcoming especially with the friendly staff and the lit fire on our arrival.

Call me pedantic, but clearly the photographs on the web site were taken when the apartment was launched many years ago. It is starting to look a bit tired as evidenced by chipped paintwork inside, the coffee table and dining table are of a standard that I wouldn’t even give as a donation to Vinnies and clearly need upgrading, the outside of the building could do with a coat of paint and the pavers definitely need the attention of a high pressure hose ... Was a lovely place but it was attached to the owners home, so wasnt 'private 'at all. The pool was either covered or being cleaned and you can only use at certain times e.g. swim lessons, aqua aerobics! Private garden and pond? Where? We saw the owner in his bath robe in a garden ... Read More
