Rissons Restaurant at the Springvale

This small family-run restaurant is a real find if you like good food, but are not into the pretentious paraphernalia that sometimes goes with it. The focus here is most firmly on the flavours, presentaion, good wines (selected by the Chef to compliment the menu) and excellent presentation. Service could not be better - friendly, attentive and prompt and well worth the travel to Strathaven. We had travelled all over Scotland, dining out in some of the best that the country has to offer, and were really surprised and delighted to find Rissons almost on our doorstep. Recommended - the Stornoway Black Pudding starter, freshly made bread and any of the fish dishes.
