We came like refugees in the night, our airline had not managed to keep our bags in sync with our twice-delayed flight. Denise and Frank made up for this with a truly warm welcome and even found us some clothes to wear the next day so we did not have to miss any part of our Clare visit.
Stanley Grammar is a fine old stone building, renovated with care and very comfortable indeed. Our room was actually a sitting room and separate bedroom with bath, quiet and with a pleasant view across the garden. The separate kitchen has every imaginable utensil and a fine selection of fresh food, eggs, paté, you name it, enough for breakfast, snacks, and light meals.
Visiting Clare was a wonderful way to wrap up our Australian vacation, and Stanley Grammar was just the best place to do it. (Date of experience: Dec, 2010 )
