Grand Chifley Adelaide

Hotel was just out of main city area which we liked. Easy access to shops and central market. Room was bright and clean. Had breakfast in restaurant. Service was pretty poor. Had to wait ages to be served and even get coffee. Staff then forgot to return with fresh pot of coffee. Better if it was help yourself. Not enough parking spaces especially for disabled parking. Only one. Time we returned from function at night all spaces were gone. Very difficult to manoeuvre into tight spaces around the back. It would have been extremely considerate for hotel to tell us that tram line upgrade was commencing at midnight and lasting all night long. So hammering kept us awake most of night. Thought this was humorous as we chose a hotel out of the way to avoid city noise. If we had been prewarned then we would have then had the option of staying elsewhere for a good nights sleep (Date of experience: Dec, 2009 )
