Spirit of Tasmania

We have travelled to Tasmania seven times over the last few years, five times have been on the Spirit. We definitely include this trip as part of our holiday. We love travelling on the Spirit. We have worked out what we don't like (sitting up overnight) and what we really love about the trip. We've had no trouble sleeping in the beds - the cabins are nothing fancy, but fine for an overnight trip. We love looking out the windows as the ship is leaving and arriving. On our next trip, in August, we'll be testing out one of the deluxe cabins, just for fun! The restaurant is excellent - the food is always delicious, and the staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. Prices are quite reasonable for restaurant-quality meals. The tourist information centre is also always a handy and useful place to check out. Taking our own car is convenient and cheap, and has major benefits over hiring a car in Tasmania. We can bring along whatever luggage we want, and have plenty of room to take back our souvenirs. We would recommend the trip to anyone.
