Blue Galah Backpackers Hostel

We had a private room for two booked...and got placed into a room kinda like a cell. One very small room, with two sets of single bunks and not much room to move. Lots of stairs to climb...and toilet and bathing facilities down stairs..so not such a good idea in the middle of the night. Felt breathless...no air in the place. The bedding was well worn out....not enticing at all. For the price we paid..[and had refunded on departure half an hour after arriving], an extra $20 bought us our own modern cabin, fully self contained, very comfy beds..and lots of other home comforts..oh and yeah a private toilet and shower...and a TV with DVD. This experience of backpacker accommodation was my first and definitely my last.
