My wife and I stayed at the Ti Tree in July 2008, when we were having problems getting accommodation in Darwin, because everything was fully booked. We stayed for 2 or 3 nights on separate occasions, a few days apart, because that was the only time the owners could squeeze us in. The apartments are about 25 years old, but are neat and comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean.
The owners are very friendly, helpful people, who are always willing to assist.
The apartments are in three rows, laid out behind each other, on a long narrow sloping block. Car parking is at the front of the block, and you walk down a side lane for entrance to all the apartments.
If you are looking for views, don't bother booking here, there are none.
The upside is it's a beaut central location that is just far enough from the city centre to not be too noisy - but which still has excellent access to all facilities.
I would recommend this place to mature couples and families seeking a comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay, and I would return anytime.
