This was to be our first break (4 days) in 5 years of fulltime raising our much loved grandchildren. We are elderly, quiet people.
The abuse and treatment to which we were subjected by the owner of this hotel was beyond belief. As far as I can tell, this was because we arrived at 7.40 within the printed checkin deadline of 8pm. On this occasion the owner had decided to close at 7.30 without informing us. As a result we were ordered to leave in spite of having paid through lastminute.com.au. She actually lost control and screamed at us.
This place makes Fawlty Towers look like customer service paradise.
We reported the incident to The Entrance police, having been quite shaken up by the experience. My husband, aged 71, is very ill & I was concerned for his health.
We stayed at Oaks Resort and had a lovely time once we settled down. Lastminute.com.au refunded our original payment. (Date of experience: Jan, 2011 )
