I went on a Swan Valley Tour last week as a surprise birthday present for a friend of mine. I took her to the jetty blind folded and only took it off when we were about to board the boat. The cruise was lovely - with a nice mix of commentary and enough time to chat to one another, and other people on the boat. They served coffee, muffins, a cheese platter and 4 wine tastings each on the boat - which was much more than i had expected!
Then we were met by our driver, Anita, who then took us for some more wine tastings, and then to lunch. Lunch was delicious, and i was surprised by how large and filling the platter lunch was. We then went for nougat tastings at the nougat factory, more wine tastings with a cheeseboard, a beer tasting at a brewery and then to the chocolate factory. Needless to say, i was so full by the end of the day that i didn't even think about dinner.
I had a wonderful time and my friend loved her present. I definitely suggest anyone who loves wine and good food to go on this tour!
