Regency on the Beach

I have stayed there 4 times in the last three years because of a family commitment. Every time it gets worse. The place is promoted as 4 and a half star...and it looks fine from the highway; but wait until you see inside. The last 3 times we have stayed there, we have had to complain about the cleanliness. Furniture is filthy (the best they could offer was a sheet to cover it) A sea view doesn't count much when you can't see out the windows. We asked for them to be cleaned only to be advised that the annual window cleaning was on 14 December! Last year, the pool was closed for half our stay, the time before the security doors didn't work. The management are friendly and apologetic...but they're just not up to it! And, finally, be warned, it's NOT palm Beach, it's Tallebudgera, which is the most swimmer-unfriendly beach on the Gold Coast (if the rips aren't too dangersous, the wind will make it too uncomfortable, and the bluebottles just love the place.
