Central Plaza Port Douglas

Just back from a week in Port Douglas and stayed in the Central Plaza for the duration. Our apartment catered for 2 adults and 2 children. The apartments were really spacious with a spa bath ensuite to one bedroom and separate shower/toilet facilities for the other bedroom. TV in the double bedroom meant the children could watch their programme while the adults could watch Wimbledon on the larger one in the lounge. Bedrooms/lounge/dining areas had very efficient (and quiet) airconditioning units, as well as large ceiling fans 2 large eating areas, one inside and one on the balcony overlooking the pool. The washing machine/tumble drier were really useful as we used the pool or beach at least twice each day. Pool is huge with plenty of room for kids/balls/noodles/daft adults etc. Also a nice touch is the enclosed area for toddlers. Plenty of covered car parking available and walk to beach no more than 5 minutes. Shops/ restaurants/marina were no more than 10 minutes walk. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay here again when we next visit PD.
