I recently spent four nights at the Adelaide Terraced Apartments, as a single traveller, and I can honestly say I would recommend them to anybody wanting reasonably priced, comfortable and extremely well appointed accommodation.
On the upper floor, the apartment I was in had two large bedrooms with queen-size beds which were very comfortable, and more storage space than you could ever use on holiday. There was an upstairs bathroom (bath and shower) with separate toilet, and also a downstairs cloakroom/laundry which included a washing machine and dryer – piping hot water and plenty of towels provided. There was also a fully equipped kitchen with large dining area, a large living area with LCD TV, and an outdoor patio area.
The apartments are a little bit out of the CBD, but only a couple of minutes’ walk to the free tram which runs between South Terrace and North Terrace. However, because of their location I found them to be very quiet. They are only a short walk to Central Markets and Coles supermarket. I also felt them to be in a very safe area for returning in the dark.
Most importantly, the apartment was spotlessly clean and the lady who runs it, Rosa, very welcoming and helpful.
If I had one criticism, it would be that the shower was rather small, for which I would have taken off half a star rating, but the fact that I arrived on a very chilly Adelaide afternoon to find that Rosa had put the reverse-cycle air conditioner on to warm up the apartment for me gives the half star back!
Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in Adelaide. (Date of experience: Sep, 2010 )
