Quality Hotel Batman's Hill on Collins

I booked 3 nights in a club room more than 7 months in advance and emailed them several times requesting a quiet room on a high floor before arriving. When we arrived we were given a room on the very 1st floor facing onto the street. The outside noise was real bad, constant trams all day and night going in all directions and the screeching when they went around the corner. Dont expect to get any sleep at all. Next morning went to reception and asked for another room and the young man at reception got annoyed with us and we were given another room on the 3rd floor also facing onto the street which was in fact smaller and the noise was no better. This hotel is in an excellent location but I suggest you look elsewhere for another hotel if you intend to stay in this area. After our stay I emailed this hotel with my comments and have still not received any reply. I travel a lot and always stay in budget hotels, we only stayed in this hotel because we found a good price, which I regret now.
