Landmark Nelson Bay

We were very unimpressed with this resort, which my sister and I booked for a getaway before the impending arrival of my sister's baby. Promised single beds were not available, leaving me to sleep on an uncomfortable rollaway bed for the entire stay. The "heated' pool was decidedly chilly and we could not open our balcony door due to the wafts of cigarette smoke that poured in whenever we tried. Much banging and crashing occured early each morning thanks to staff outside the windows while the cleaning staff were often seen smoking on people's balconies as they went about their "job". When the stay became too uncomfortable and we attempted to leave a day or two early, the unhelpful staff refused to consider any type of refund, despite the internet booking service accepting our position. It is certainly not up to the four star rating it has given itself. We would not recommend this resort if you are after an enjoyable holiday. (Date of experience: Apr, 2011 )
