We have decided to write this review and have never written one before to alert families that you MUST be aware that places like this still exist.

We recently booked our stay over the phone to the number listed on the web page. After discussing rates and requests we agreed to continued with our booking. We had asked that we have airconditioning in our room and we also requested a late check out on the last day. On the arrival to Queensland, we had received a call from a staff member asking our expected arrival time as our flight had been delayed. We were then instructed to press a red button at the entry and one of the staff would attend 10 to 15 minutes after the button was pressed and sign us in.
We arrived at the Hotel, pressed the red button, and had to wait half an hour for an attendant to attend, who then instructed us that it was a grey button and not a red one we had to press. We were lucky that the staff member was just driving by and had popped in or else we would never have been let in.
We signed in and entered the room to find there was no airconditioner or a fan in the main living area. I then contacted the front desk and asked if there had been a mistake in the room as we asked for an airconditioned room . A rude female manager then rang back and stated we had not asked for airconditioning at all and we had booked through an agent . The attitude of this manager was disgraceful, and made no attempt to apologise or offer any kind of reasonable option and was insisting it was our error and insinuated we were liars. We then asked if we could be reimbursed as we did not want to continue with our stay after the way we had just been spoken to and treated , . We were then told we could not get our payment back as we had not requested the airconditioner. This Manager continued to try and lie her way out of a mistake they had made and insinuated we were lying. We then had to continue with our stay. On the last day we asked for a late check out as our flight was late at night and we where traveling with two young children. We were then denied this request and told that another family was ready to check in the room. We were able to use the facilites during the day which we had clear view of the room and it did not seem occupied for the rest of that day; however they were happy to charge us to stay an extra night, despite being "fully booked." While we were waiting for our flight on this last day, we observed the new weekend guests checking into their rooms and were relieved we were leaving that night as they were throwing beer bottles from high rise rooms down below on the ground and near the pool area, as well as playing loud music, drinking alcohol by the pool, throwing rubbish and other room items from their rooms and placing themselves and other guests in danger of being injured. No security was ever observed to be around, and the reception is only manned until 5 or 6pm, so unless police are called, these guests can go on all weekend and create havoc and no one from management will be there to assist.

This Hotel has Managers running it which clearly have no respect for its guests at all and we would truly like to warn all those thinking of booking this that you MUST get your requests in writing and record who you spoke to and the dates, times etc. World Tourism was also to blame for this disorganisation and lack of professionalism, so together, they do not operate well with no concern for the customer's needs.

Pay the extra money to stay in another hotel who actually respect their guests. (Date of experience: Jan, 2011 )
