What a fantastic place to stay! My wife and I have been twice now and when the opportunity arises, we would love to go back! The moment you walk through the breezy and spacious lobby you know you're in for a treat. The large lagoon pool, with sandy banks, is by far the highlight (if you're not a beach person and prefer the pool, then this place has to be on your list) not to mention the swim up bar! Many an afternoon was spent sampling the cocktail list and talking with fellow, and very relaxed, holiday makers. If you want something a little quieter, there is a smaller pool nearer the rear of the resort and another one at the front.
The rooms were of a high standard, inline with what you would expect from a 4-5 star hotel. The plus point was the small kitchenette which allowed us to have our own food when we didn't have the energy to head to the restaurants. Our room also had a spa bath on the balcony - a great way to spend the evening with a bottle of champagne!
The spa is great there too, although in high season, it's best if you book before you arrive as the demand is pretty high. Although with Palm Cove being the spa capital of the world, you always have the option of sampling any of the other spas if you so wished or needed to.
Highly recommend it! (Date of experience: May, 2009 )
