Karumba Sunset point caravan park - (1/9/2008)
I took a villa at Sunset caravan park and found the accommodation to be very well presented, my stay was also very enjoyable until I was packing up to leave. Pulling the boat out (6m Monterey) after a morning run and some reasonable fishing, I wanted to flush the boats engine with fresh water before driving back home.
I was told that water restrictions imposed by the local council prohibited this and stated that we were not allowed to use a hose to wash down driveways etc I told the owner that the notice did not state that an engine could not be flushed and felt that they interpreted the notice incorrectly, besides, the park was at the time, using a hose to wash down the ladies toilets (I suggested that I use this facility), and after being denied, I expressed my dissatisfaction at having to drive all the way home without flushing the engine.
The Tavern - I must comment on the excellent way in which the Tavern presented itself including the food served.
Ashs - Worth a visit, also the best burgers youve tasted for a while
