I stayed here a few years ago with some mates from uni. The place is huge and sleeps about 25 people from memory so for a large group it works out really cheap per person!
It's very rustic and has a kind of back-to-nature feel. It can get pretty cold in winter which is perfect for sitting around the fire tasting the wines from the Hunter but be sure to take warm clothes.
The 3-hole gold course is more of a novelty than anything but it's good fun after a few beers ;-)
Overall, this is a great place for a group weekend in the Hunter. (Date of experience: Aug, 2007 )
