Madhatters on Milston Restaurant

My sister and I decided to check out Madhatters for breakfast one Sunday as they were in the entertainment book. First of all, it said they opened at 8.30am in the book, however they didn't actually open until 9am, so we sat in the car for half an hour waiting for them to open, which we were happy to do because we thought it was going to be worth it. Boy were we wrong!!!
When they finally opened, the Waitress asked us if we had a booking, which we didn't as it was a spur of the moment decision to eat there. So she said she will have to serve everyone else ahead of us who had a booking. I've never heard of this before but we were nice and said no problem. There was only one other party of 4 there at the same time as us, so the restaurant was not busy at all. She gave us our menus and went to serve the other table. We were ready to order in about 5 minutes as we were actually on a tight schedule that day. My sister asked her if we could order and she told us not yet because she is waiting for the other table to order first. By this stage, they already had their coffees but we were still waiting to order. They weren't ready to order, however we were. By this stage, we decided to leave as we couldn't sit around waiting all day.
Before we left, my sister said to the waitress, can we order some coffees while we are waiting as we are on a tight schedule. She told us that she already told us we can't order until the other table had ordered. We found this strange as we were ready to order and they weren't, as it wasn't as if the restaurant was busy. So my sister got angry at this stage and said we are ready to order. The RUDE waitress then said to us, well I think it's best if you two just leave!!! We have never been spoken to like this EVER before at a restauant and couldn't believe what we were hearing! It's not as if we were difficult customers. We just wanted to order some food as the other table weren't ready to order yet. I am absolutely dumbfounded as to how a waitress is allowed to speak to the customers like that!! I will be telling everyone about this restaurant and it's RUDE waitress!!!!!!!! (Date of experience: Oct, 2011 )
