Was so looking forward to this short stay as have often wondered what this place would be like. Have been staying regularly in Halls Gap for 15 years now. The facilities are ok, and rooms, although clean, did lack a few basic things normally found elsewhere. No toiletries provided which was a bit annoying, but the issue for us came when the owner advised us that room towels were not to be used in the pool area. Not being advised beforehand, we didnt bring extra towels ourselves, and upon going back to owner as advised to get pool towels, were told that towels are hired out and owner was quite annoyed when she realized her husband failed to mention the fee to us upon check in. A big fuss over a $2 hire for towel... quite ridiculous.
Bed was amazingly hard and uncomfortable, and the appliances inc. TV is quite dated.
