Hunter Tours

My husband and I just spent 3 fantastic days and two wonderful, romantic nights in the Hunter Valley. We booked a wine tour with Hunter Tours and what a day we had. Our tour guide Leisa took us on 'the tour fantastic'. Another couple joined us and we all hit it off immediately. Leisa has extensive knowledge of the Hunter and we visited about 6 wineries/vineyards, and a couple of yummy chocolate companies along the way. We started the day with champagne and chocolate. After a couple more wineries, Leisa provided a beautiful morning tea of mud cake fresh cream and chocolate dipped strawberries. These were made by her husband Andrew, and were served with freshly brewed coffee. The hosts at all of the wineries were just fantastic, we learned so much about wine making and the appreciation of wine. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We finished the day at the last winery on our tour sitting on the front porch with the sun setting in front of us, watching the kangaroos hopping around the property as we nibbled on a lovely cheese platter and of course tasting more wine. We are already making plans to go back and taking with us my husbands brother and his wife.
