Arkana Motel

Take the Heritage Tour for the over 50's, we had a great time. You visit lots of heritage sites and homes, each tour day is different and fully filled. Morning and afternoon teas, dinner and breakfast are included, also a welcome drink on arrival. The dinners were large and most enjoyable with a choice of two options for the main meal, the dessert was not optional but consisted of the food most people enjoy. The breakfasts consisted of fruit juices, cereals, toast and jam/vegemite etc; tea or coffee came in the standard motel packages, it would have been nice to have had percolated coffee available at mealtimes and some real fruit at breakfast, but given the price it was definitely value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, ours had a king sized bed which was great. Bathrooms were a bit on the small side but then you don't spend much time in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. We were met at the station and from there our luggage was handled by the motel proprietor and was in our room when we arrived after a brief stop at the woocoo walk. Whether going on the tour or just looking for a place to stay I would definitely recommend this motel, you wont be disappointed.
